Welcome to the second episode to "Persona Non Filtered" podcast. Today I talk to artist Hazuki Fukuda who is part of the group exhibition call on the freedom of #JulianAssange curated by Salonrogue in Leipzig Germany.
Hazuki told me about her way into the art world, and how she faced racism in her daily life, what led her into leaving her "office job" to go on full risk in turning her life around. She understood this as a calling from within.
The conversation went very touching as Hazuki talked about her grandfather, an artist who had to fight in the Second World War, and was forced by the Japanese government to paint pictures which praised the war.
Hazuki became aware of Julian Assange case and his importance for freedom of speech and justice. Since than she fights for his freedom, also in using her art to make people aware how important his freedom is to all of us.
