Anna Fauzy-Ackroyd - Artist from the Ilse of White - joins the artforce for #JulianAssange
Lets introduce you to the next artist for our our exhibition “Julians Freedom Is Your Freedom” in Leipzig; Germany.
We are happy to tell you that Anna Fauzy-Ackroyd joined the force.
“Anna Fauzy-Ackroyd is a free expression artist and activist, from the Isle of Wight, UK who has been campaigning for the freedom of Julian Assange since she saw the newspaper reports of him being illegally dragged from the Ecuadorian embassy on 11th April 2019 and feared for his fate.
The artwork submitted is a canvas initially used as a sign board listing social media accounts supporting Julian Assange at fortnightly Vigil’s held locally. After replacement sign boards were made Anna covered this canvas with oils in free expression creating a montage effect with paint overlaying the words. This reflects the relationship between creativity and social activism.
The intention for participating in the Salonrogue Open Call is to join together with other artists who campaign for Julian Assange’s freedom because as a collective we can amplify ideas and creative inspiration in ways that can reach a larger audience and broaden the rapidly growing global participation to free Julian Assange. The numerous effective collaborative efforts by artists to draw attention to Julian plight and what he represents for our collective future show the infinite possibilities when creative minds join together in a common purpose”. (Text taken from Annas submission)
Anna is a long standing activist for Julian - and participated in many projects to call out for his freedom.

Anna also exhibited her art together with Nicola, and other artist at the “Free The Truth” event organised by Dr. Deepa Driver, at the Pancras New Church in London. At the event speakers like John Pilger, Craig Morray, Lowkey, Nils Melzer and many other attended to call out for Julians freedom.
Submitted an art video collaboration inspired by @TRUMANHUMAN2020’s #YellowRibbons4Assange to tie yellow ribbons with Free Julian Assange messages to trees, posts, railings etc., to raise awareness of his plight in public places, to the DiEM25 Artist Open Call: Raise Your Voice for Assange which was displayed among the chosen entries. Read all about it here
There is so much more Anna is doing for Julian and his freedom everyday and we are so grateful that you joined us with your submission.
On the picture you see Anna dressed up in “Vivianne Westwood” style to celebrate Julians and Stellas marriage, what just looks amazing - THANK YOU ANNA again to be with us, that you use your voice for Julian, that you fight with us for his freedom and for our all freedom.
